I was hoping these would be zero drop like the original version. Unfortunately this Tread version has a small “heel” section that makes it slightly higher (1-2mm) than the front. It also feels like a bit of a lump when walking. Maybe just because I am used to barefoot shoes. It would have been great if the sole could have been one piece but with grip. I have decided to keep them as they are otherwise great, lightweight, high and secure at the top. And I didn’t want to lose money returning them as you have to pay the postage. I like that they are natural materials. They are well made. I hope they will last. I will use them only on soft ground, mud/sand rather than harder surfaces because of the heel section feeling uncomfortable.

I have worn the Tread Pokeboos a few times now and so far they have been really good. It is the first barefoot style I have ever worn so they take a bit of getting used to. They are very light, and great for walking on soft bushy moorland, but don't feel very protective on stones. Completely waterproof, but am not sure if that will last as they feel flimsy, although that may just be because I am used to sturdier footwear. So fa so good.

I’m really pleased with my Tread boots! I normally wear barefoot shoes and walking boots and these are the nearest to barefoot wellington boot I could find. I was a bit sceptical that the tread would be too shallow to keep me stable in muddy conditions but I’ve worn the boots in a mix of terrains and they’ve been great. A minor improvement would be if the shape of the toe was squarer. Definitely need to size up!

I bought them for a friend who is traveling. I wanted to see if the small size would fit me (barely--and the next size up is a bit too large). But I'm hoping that, if I get these for myself, they will stretch a bit just as the regular pair of 10.5 Pokeboo boots I purchased have over a month.

Not tried yet as too small compared to other boots.

Came across these quite by accident. I’m a fan of barefoot style shoes and these appealed because of that. On their debut walk, I was comfortable and also warm and dry. Very happy with the ability to fold them into a very neat package - perfect for travel. Would heartily recommend.

Great quality wellies but sizes come up really small and for a barefoot friendly brand they are more narrow than wellies I bought from Aldi

The boots back down well, are light, have good tread but they are tight around my leg even though they fit my feet well. They also don’t go as far up my leg as I would like. If they went 2 inches higher and added an inch to the circumference they would be perfect

First pair I ordered were a little tight so I requested a return. I made some mistakes I'm the process but their customer service were so patient and helpful. Got the size up and they fit perfectly and feel like a dream. I never imagined wellies could be so comfortable! Looking forward to splashing around without worrying about my poor weirdly shaped feet getting rubbed raw. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

First pair of Pokeboo's and after a couple of pairs of big brand wellies before, I can safely say that these are a different league in comfort to those. I've been using barefoot shoes for a year so there is no transition for me and that makes these an instant win for my feet. It's like a form fitted rubber ninja sock but without it being as sweaty or as hard to put on or take off as that description sounds. In fact it is a pleasure to put on, and easy to take off. Easy to keep clean and I reckon if you can walk correctly and without drag you can expect these to last a long time. Never thought I would geek out about wellies but these are seriously good and look much better looking on than most style of wellies. Tried them in the local stream about a foot deep with absolutely no worries.

Best pair of boots I have ever worn!!!!

I changed my Pokeboo Tread Boots from size 5 - 5.5 to 6 - 6.5 and they are much better. For me the sizing is unusual for my feet, as I'm never been a size 6 before and, yet with these lovely boots, the size 6 is only just long enough for my feet. Having said that, the boots are really lovely - very comfortable and they look absolutely great! When I changed boots, the team were friendly and helpful and very efficient, so I highly recommend them.

Pocaboo tread soooo perfect so fine so good so flexible for me the first boots who really Comes close by the vibram fivefingers ( they don’t have a rain boots)

Exactly what I wanted, lightweight, fairly grippy, barefoot wellies. Really comfortable and a nice fit too. Responsive and helpful customer service and quick delivery time too.
My only slight reservation is longevity - they're so lightweight I do wonder how tough they are, but time will tell. So far though I'm very happy

I bought a size 7 which are a little on the large size for me but they're fine with thick socks for winter; and even though they're roomy, I feel very confident walking on uneven ground because of the zero drop heels and soles that give you great ground connection so you know what you're walking on.

This larger tread version of the original boot is fabulous! The sole is still entirely flexible (the most important part of the boot for me!) and yet there is greater grip from the thicker tread. Totally worth while for those who might be walking on muddy or wet trails!

Well? A further update! Having decided to go - at least - a full week earlier than was expected. I will be moving on ordering a pair of these Pokeboo Tread Boots on the 17th of this month. General delivery is in two days so.. These ought to arrive on the 19th of January - fortunately - on a day off from work. So I should be home when these arrive.

To move forward this quickly. And more so than I had intended! Is a risk but one to be weighed up carefully. I will be intending to commit and do so. Accordingly.

Further update. Going back to the original date. Still interested to go with these Pokeboo treads. I was tempted to go a lot earlier than the 29th. But I will hold to my original date. I understand that only the black version are available. Well? No problems with that! At least in theory it should make it faster. And yet it might do so!

This is a revision of the eventual decision of purchasing these Pokeboo tread boots. And I might go slightly earlier in the committed date of decision.

I have said that I would have decided to go with these boots by the 29th January! I might just go for a pair of these by the 27th January instead! This is a uprate by 48 hours earlier.

I might choose to stick with black! Still to be confirmed but I might well stick to the choice as well!
