Care Instructions

POKEBOO is brought to the UK by Shop Green Today Ltd an online home and garden store based in Yorkshire.

The POKEBOO boots won the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2018.

POKEBOO have been designed by ATOM Corporation based in Japan.
-

However, manufacturing of POKEBOO takes place in Thailand where there is access to the natural rubber to create the boots.

 

Cleaning and care instructions:

  • Wash the exterior of the boot with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. If the inside of the boot needs to be washed due to excess perspiration, remove the footbed and wash by hand. Hang to dry. Do not put in the dryer.
  • Do not use near oil or petroleum, which will react with the rubber.
  • When drying, avoid use of a heating element or direct sunlight.
  • You may notice a white powdery film (so-called "blooming") on the rubber. This is characteristic of high-quality natural rubber and is normal. If you wish to remove, please do so with a damp cloth.
  • If the rubber is sticky to touch, then please wipe the boots down before storing them away.

Storage of natural rubber products:

  • Do not store near places exposed to high temperatures, such as heating elements or open fires and avoid direct sunlight which may fade the boot over time.
  • To ensure POKEBOO retains the shape of your feet and legs, please insert used paper (such as newspaper) when not in use.
  • Store POKEBOO in a cool, dark and dry place.

Safety precautions and allergy warning:

  • Some skin types will react to rubber, if an itch or rash occurs, please refrain from using POKEBOO.
  • Please avoid contact with glass or other sharp objects. The boots have been designed with comfort in mind and for light or occasional use.
  • If used for an extended period of time, there may result some sweat residue in the interior of the boots. In this case, please dry the boots in the shade after using.

Got them on. Day 1.

I have got the boots on and am breaking them in. Like one other person. I'm used to barefoot footwear. But these Pokeboo boots are surprisingly lightweight and quite comfortable. I intend to keep these on my feet until bedtime. With or without socks of any description. I could almost forget they're on my feet.

These are remarkably very good in feeling. I am feeling no drawbacks with them.

I do rather like them. And seeing that there's a royal blue pair. I'm considering obtaining a pair of these. For next month! No decision yet! I might decide to do so! I look forward to the next couple of days.

Amazingly clever design

Having worn zero drop shoes (mainly vivobarefoot) for the last couple of years it was great to finally find a suitable welly and what an amazingly clever design these are.

LOVE MY POKEBOOS 😁

Switched to barefoot shoes a while ago but wellies have been an issue. Along came pokeboo. They are great.

Agree that toe box maybe a bit small for some but fine for me. You do feel the coldness of water when walking through puddles so thinking about sizing with thicker socks maybe sensible but I've been fine with my normally woolly socks.

Love that they are so light weight and transportable, unlike normal wellies. Only down side is lack of grip on soles (none basically); as a barefooter you get used to this but if you don't barefoot and buy pokeboos as lightweight wellies, something to be aware of. My partner says please make larger sizes - he's a size 12.

WONDERFUL BOOTS

Never got on with wellies, as I have thick calves and even fashion favourites do not fit me. These are light, comfortable and a dream to put on and take off. Finally they can be packed and taken with you easily as they take no space at all

"Got myself some pokeboo wellies, they are flat and zero drop, thin, you can pack them or roll them and ultralight. I think they tick all the boxes, toebox could be bigger but it is very stretchy and soft so happy with that (corrects toes on my feet). Not cheap but my feet need good shoes."

Thank you very much for my lovely blue boots.

I've been using my Royal Blue Pokeboo boots size 4L for 3 months now. As you can see I'm using the biggest size possible, normally choosing size 9 for women when buying other shoes.

I like my toes having space to spread naturally and that's why I normally wear Vivibarefoot shoes. However they don't make wellies anymore so, looking for boots that wouldn't squash my toes on the sides I found Pokeboo boots.

I love the rubber you're using. It's elastic and soft, makes me think of filo pastry:). In the end however I swapped my boots for a bigger size so that literary nothing limits my feet (I might be a little obsessed about it😉). I've been using Vivobarefoot thermal insole with them, so of course the boots have got smaller.

About using them: I love them because they light, soft and let me feel the ground underneath my feet. There is a price to pay for the latter though. Classic wellies have those heavy, tractor tyre like soles, but then there is no barefoot effect with them. Quid pro quo I suppose😉

I was impressed how well they performed in temperatures below zero. As I said before, I was wearing a thermal insole with them, plus tights and socks and my feet never got cold.

One more thing - I like the royal blue colour a lot.

In spring I'm taking them to my family's organic farm in Poland and I'm going to do same field tests:)

Amazingly clever design

I've been using my Royal Blue Pokeboo boots size 4L for 3 months now. As you can see I'm using the biggest size possible, normally choosing size 9 for women when buying other shoes.
